Preclinical Research Associate

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and motivated candidate to join Optieum Biotechnologies, Inc., a preclinical stage biotechnology company committed to developing innovative CAR-T cell therapies. Our proprietary Eumbody System enables the development of advanced CAR constructs that optimize immune-cell function for human disease targets.
Reporting to the manager of Molecular Bioscience Group, this individual will support molecular and cellular biology activities related to Eumbody system. This includes hands-on experimental work with cancer cell lines and primary immune cells, execution of in vitro functional assays, and support for pipeline and collaboration projects.


Responsibilities

  • Perform core molecular biology techniques, including plasmid DNA preparation (miniprep and midiprep), PCR/qPCR etc.
  • Design and conduct flow cytometry experiments for comprehensive immune cell phenotyping and functional characterization.
  • Support functional assay development and execution, including cytotoxicity, proliferation, and cytokine release evaluations.
  • Accurately document experimental protocols, observations, and results in electronic lab notebooks; assist with data analysis and interpretation.
  • Effectively troubleshoot experimental challenges and contribute to cross-functional research initiatives through collaborative problem-solving.
  • Adhere strictly to experimental protocols and apply the scientific method with precision to ensure the accuracy, reproducibility, and integrity of research findings.

Job Requirements

  • Hands-on laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based research environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Education and Skills

  • Minimum Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology Immunology, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of relevant research experience in an academic or industrial lab.
  • Familiarity with flow cytometry and standard in vitro immunology assays is preferred.
